Kursaal Oostende is preparing for a truly special cultural moment: after nearly 18 years, Béjart Ballet Lausanne will finally perform again in this majestic venue from 19 to 21 February 2027, which will also reopen fully renovated in January 2027. Under the direction of Julien Favreau, the renowned company continues to uphold its exceptional artistic standard since the passing of Maurice Béjart in 2007. Recognized as a leading reference in the international dance world, the company will present two of the most iconic works in its repertoire: Béjart et nous and 7 danses grecques.

The program opens with 7 danses grecques by Maurice Béjart, set to the music of Mikis Theodorakis. In this austere yet deeply expressive work, Béjart explores the essence of the Greek soul, far from folkloric clichés, with a strong focus on authenticity and inner depth.

The performance continues with Béjart et nous, a captivating journey through the major creations of Maurice Béjart. Curated by Julien Favreau, this program brings together iconic solos, duets, and ensemble pieces, driven by the energy and expressiveness of today’s dancers. It is a vivid and moving tribute to the Master’s oeuvre.
